MCP

The MCP server gives an assistant 15 tools over this API, so you can ask in plain words and it calls the API for you, with your own key, plan and limits.

The server

https://icehockeyapi.com/mcp

Streamable HTTP, JSON-RPC 2.0. Send your key as Authorization: Bearer iha_live_... (or X-API-Key).

Adding it

• Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http icehockeyapi https://icehockeyapi.com/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY"
• Cursor and other clients that take a JSON config: a server with "url": "https://icehockeyapi.com/mcp" and "headers": {"Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_KEY"}.
• Clients that only take an address: give https://icehockeyapi.com/mcp and add the header where the client allows it.

An example

Asked "who won the North American top league games last night, and who scored?", an assistant calls yesterdays_results, then game_scoring for each game, and answers from what comes back. Every call counts against your plan like any other.
